Don't throw these out, reuse them in storage bins
Let’s face it, the main job of a boat owner is keeping the wet stuff wet
and the dry stuff dry, it’s an endless battle. To help my boating
brothers and sisters I have a little boat hack. You know those little
packets that accompany newly purchased boat goodies? They usually say
“Don’t eat” and “throw away”. The first warning is valid, don’t eat
them, it will not end good for you. However don’t throw them away!, hang
on to them. Save them and put them in storage containers and tool bags
to reduce humidity and the problems it brings: corrosion, rust, mildew.
They are not a perfect solution in the defense against humidity but they
can help buy you some extra margin and they are free!!!
Good Luck,
Island Rambler
